I have to be honest about fundraising - it's a gigantic pain in the rear. But in today's political sphere, you have to ask supporters for money - unless you're self-funded, which I'm not.

I'm a professor by trade, working with modest means. To represent us in the district, and at the national level - I need your support. You cannot imagine how expensive it is to run a political campaign today. My opponents are working with millions of dollars in campaign contributions and third party advertising, which will be heavy, the closer we get to election day.

If we can raise around $250,000 - we will win. Because that's enough money to make sure our voice is heard in the community. And our message, and the New Deal philosophy of equality and fairer economic circumstances for all that we purvey is what citizens truly believe is necessary today. Not misguided austerity. Not further economic and social polarization.

Equality and shared prosperity is what Americans believe in. And that is what I will represent for you.

Can you contribute now?

It's all for you.
