This election is about more than re-electing Barack Obama. It is about filling the bases with Democrats from national to state to county, from State Senator to Supervisor of Elections to dog catcher.

The Democratic Club of Southeast Volusia County is just getting its 2012 Campaign Headquarters started at 515 Canal Street, in New Smyrna Beach. From this operation base, everyone in the neighborhood – Port Orange, New Smyrna Beach, Edgewater, Oak Hill – will know that the Democrats sole objective is to get every Democratic candidate elected to office in this part of Volusia County. This shouldn’t surprise any Democrat because the Republicans are preaching full victory for their candidates. When you have a moment, go to the Volusia County Republican Party website and read the venomous article by Stan Escudero, their Chairman.

“We live in a bizarre time. Our elected leaders have betrayed our country. They have abandoned the American ideal in favor of the radical transformation of America into a socialist dictatorship. Convinced that our nation is evil, they work to overturn our constitutional republic. Etc., etc., etc.”
