For the first time, voters in this region will have the opportunity to elect a New Deal Democrat. A Democrat worthy of the brand. An old school, liberal, progressive Democrat who will bring the full weight of the New Deal legacy to bear on American politics. We will have turned an important corner toward moving beyond what has been thirty years of darkness conveyed by the neoconservative narrative in this country, with my voice representing you.

And that’s why I’m running for Congress.

How is a glorious country sown? With an artfully and scientifically diverse education for our children, that encompasses all of the complexity of the 21st century world, with all of its glory, error and contradictions. They are ready for it. And the world needs such a civilization now more than ever.

How is our glorious land bestowed? By putting to an end the wage suppression of a flawed labor policy, and bringing the federal minimum wage to a 21st century, livable level, while tethering it to the Consumer Price Index, so citizens are never again, left behind.

What is the glorious fruit of our land? Its fruit will be borne by sustainability, as well as growth - by Democratic policies and civil liberties that have at their heart, the creation of better times for more people, and equality of opportunity, rather than the exploitation of the many for the prosperity and ideology of the few.
