Everywhere you look, Republican men are leading an all out assault on American women. Yesterday, instead of focusing on improving our economy, the Florida GOP rammed through a radical, ideological bill that will restrict lifesaving health care for women.
We've come to expect this type of behavior from the Tea Party extremists in Tallahassee. But what really ticked me off was seeing our Senator, Marco Rubio, championing this same sort of dangerous legislation in Washington. Rubio risked the lives of women across our country for a partisan stunt, and it made me madder than heck. That’s why yesterday the Florida Democratic Party spoke out, condemning Rubio’s extreme measure to everyone who would listen.
Florida Democrats don't believe in these dangerous partisan attacks, and we don’t like seeing Florida's elected officials leading the assault on women.
That’s why I hope you’ll join us by contributing $20, $50, $100 or whatever you can afford today – we’ll use your support to fight back against the GOP’s War on Women.
If you’re a woman, I hope you’ll join us in standing up for your rights, your safety and your health care.
And if you’re a man, I hope you’ll join us and show the Republicans that Florida men don’t attack America’s women, they stand up for them.
