I get this question every day and twice on Sunday - can Democrats win in Florida in 2022? My answer: it isn't an easy question, but we have a road map. Following the 2004 election, Democrats had lost all but one statewide seat, and were at historical lows in Congress and in the Legislature. In the four years that followed, Democrats won 3 of the 6 statewides, and picked up significant wins in Congress and the Legislature.
Leaning in on voter registration was by far the most important piece of that, but it wasn't the only. This blog, which is a few months in the writing, is my best attempt to answer whether or not Democrats can win in Florida in 2022.
