Dear Florida Democrat,

As Floridians, we remember the 2000 election, when control of the White House was decided by a mere 537 votes. Now, once again, Republicans in Tallahassee are taking aim at our right to vote. And we need your help.

Make your voice heard. Tell Gov. Rick Scott what the right to vote means to you.

Courtney: I vote because it is my responsibility.

Farooq: I vote because it matters...to everyone.

From a World War II veteran who was purged from the voting rolls, to a teacher penalized for registering her students to vote for the first time, Florida citizens targeted by Gov. Rick Scott's voter suppression campaign are speaking out about why protecting our vote is so important.

We’ll deliver your stories to Gov. Scott, and urge him to stop the

GOP’s assault on our voice and our vote.

You can write, record or post your story here – however you do it, we want to make sure that the GOP know that voters across our state are watching, and we won’t be silent.
