If you haven't already done so, please send an introduction to the
group so everyone has some idea as to who you are and what you'll be
offering the group (blogger, staffer, interest group, etc.). This
will help us facilitate communication and networking, which is the
point of the group.

Hi everyone,

I'm Ray Seaman - the Online Director for Progress Florida. It's a part of my job to work with members of the Florida progressive blogosphere. I'm also the general web guru, so I help construct the online components of our campaigns and work with some of my colleagues to maintain our presences on Facebook and Twitter. Finally, I serve as the "chief blogger" for Progress Florida (you can see my posts at http://www.progressflorida.org)

I hope to be able to listen to and help coordinate with the members of the list better information regarding progressive ideas and actions and help Florida move in a better direction.

Hello Floridians,

I'm Arjun Jaikumar, currently the Netroots Outreach Director for the DSCC. I'm a blogger myself; before taking this job I was a front-pager at Daily Kos, where I'm currently on leave.

My job at the DSCC basically involves coordinating with the netroots to help promote Democratic candidates, as well as running the official DSCC blog. So if there's ever anything you need from the DSCC, or from me personally, please feel free to ask! And if there's any advice that you have for us,

I also send out regular email blasts with updates on the Senate races, both in Florida and nationwide, so please let me know if you'd like to receive them.

I look forward to working with all of you as closely as possible to help elect a Democratic Senator from Florida next fall!

I'm Brian Franklin with Impact Politics. We provide general
consulting, media, fundraising, and web strategy for a number of
campaigns and political parties/orgs in the US and now, overseas. In
this capacity, I'm more of a blog consumer and occasionally source of
updates on FL races/candidates.

Looking forward to seeing/meeting you at the JJ if you're going...

Hi, I'm Mike Link. Used to be a Florida political blogger (the old "Florida News" blog), then moved to DC (DSCC, DNC). Now I'm at the Service Employees International Union. Still try to contribute to the Florida political blogosphere whenever I get a chance, though.

O my brothers and sisters. I'm blogging at Miami-Dade Dems, where the link to Dan Gelber's US Senate candidacy soon will be obsolete. Retired AP foreign correspondent, 13-year resident of paradise here in Miami Beach. Hoping to become a better blogger, video reporter, sailor. People have to stop stealing my video gear.

Campaign junkie, blatant cut and paste from my consulting firm site
(bonus 3rd person):

After managing one Congressional campaign and consulting on another
during his final semester at San Diego State University, Mario was
hooked on campaigning. Since graduating with a BA in Political
Science, Mario has held senior staff positions on two US House races
and a US Senate race. Along the way he has been all over the country
working on federal, local and coordinated campaigns, touching thirty
five states in 2008 after spending nearly all of 2007 in Iowa on Chris
Dodd’s Presidential Campaign. Serving as Western Iowa Regional
Director, Mario spent eleven months mastering the ins and outs of
caucuses, an experience he would apply as a lead trainer for the
Nevada Democratic Party during the final weeks of their caucuses and
later to a unanimous caucus victory in a Virginia Congressional
Primary.

Mario spent the final months of the 2008 campaign on an idealistic
crusade, assisting the Obama Coordinated efforts in Florida and Ohio
as well as the victorious red to blue Congressional campaigns of Alan
Grayson, Jim Himes and Mary Jo Kilroy.

With experience in all aspects of campaigning, Mario focuses on
strategy, communications and field and is always in search of good,
proud, Democratic candidates to help.

You can utilize the community calendar of democratic events (mostly in
NE Florida) @ http://www.mpapc.com - feel free to email any events
you think should be added.

hi flacks,

I graduated from Cornell University with a degree in English and
Government in 2009 and currently split my time between my hometown of
Spring Hill, FL and my apartment in Brooklyn. I'm the Director of
Communications for Jim Piccillo, who is running to unseat Ginny Brown-
Waite in FL-5. Right now I'm working on reinvigorating our
communications shop and online presence while keeping the heat on the
incumbent using her recent voting record and revelations of unethical
financial dealings. My immediate aim is to demonstrate that the
incumbent is vulnerable and Democrats have the right candidate to win
this race.

I'm more adept dealing with print media than radio and TV. There's a
lot of talk radio outlets in the district I'm unfamiliar with, but I
want to heavily target a.m. listeners and regularly produce
actualities for stations that script their own news. If you have any
advice for me, please drop me a line, I would greatly appreciate it.

your pal,
Justin T. Cass
