Hope you're all having a fine holiday season.  I'm hoping to make this trip happen!  I can even kind of ride a bike again.  Don't make me vacation to a tropical island somewhere...

I'm still on this group. Sorry for the delayed response.

I just started a new job. It sounds like most of my coworkers never take vacation and bump up against their limits for accruing. I don't want to be one of those people, so I'd like to go to Spain. I just got dropped by the cat 4 women on Metromint on today's ride, so it definitely won't be for racing. I'd still like to ride.

Thanks for the inspiration/dream. We'll have to see how things go, though a Europe trip is not likely for me at this point. 

Wifey and I are about to move to Portland Oregon where we look forward to continuing life with our baby boy at a more relaxed urban pace. 

Lord knows I'm still riding bicycles, however. There's tons of fun on bikes in Portland that I'm REALLY looking forward to--not the least of which is actual cyclocross racing. If any of you are going to be in the area, hit me up and let's shred!

Oh yeah, I might be doing Leadville again this summer. If anyone else is thinking about it, let me know about that as well.

Whoops - meant to send that last one just to Mitch. Might be the second time I’ve made that mistake. On this email thread.

Anyway - time grows short!

Le Tour finishes in Ypres on July 9th. Another friend of mine will be in Brussels from the 14th to the 19th. I checked this morning and there are still hotel rooms available in Ypres Centrum. I might go watch the Tour, train around Europe a bit, and then head back to Brussels.

Any interest in heading back to Belgium? We can certainly train it out of there at our leisure, although I realize that barely two months to plan international travel with bikes and a group might be short notice.

I bought tickets today. SFO-CPH-BRU, July 3-20th. Two days in Copenhagen on the way out and one day on the way back.

Last few days - World Cup final and on - will be in Brussels with another friend (a beer collector), with many an afternoon spent at Cantillon.

Let me know if you're interested in details. I will probably rent a bike there if/when I need one.
