Cananyone tell me why E-Sword X will NOT screen rotate. It stays in portrait position. How can I get the screen to rotate to landscape position? I did what iPad said and have no other problem with any other app. Help please.

Yes, I know but it does work on iPad. I have it installed on my IPad Pro. However, I cannot get the on screen to rotate to Landscape. That was my question. How to get it rotated to Landscape position. All other apps will but E-sword will not. Anyone else can help me.

The second game mode, sword," requires rotating the iPad 90 degrees into portrait orientation. Your character then draws her sword, and buttons both for blocking and attacking appear. There are parts in the game that require you to simply draw your sword and hold it to the heavens and parts which are fairly intense battle sequences. These fights are reminiscent of Punch-Out!! and are largely based on figuring out what pattern of blocking and attacking you need to use, as well as timing each of those movements.

During GDC this year there was some discussion about some people not liking that the game forces you to turn your iPad to switch between these two modes as it feels a bit clunky on a device as large as the iPad. To some extent, I agree, but at the same time I really like the distinct and deliberate shift in modes" that comes from the physical rotation of the device. I do have a feeling this will be a lot better on the iPhone version of the game, as rotating your phone seems much more similar to drawing a sword as opposed to rotating the iPad, which feels much closer to driving a bus.

The introductory quest in the game reveals the over-arching quest which will drive the rest of the game: Acquiring and destroying the burdensome book of sinister sworcery known as the Megatome", all while dealing with the deathless spectre" which was awakened when you removed the Megatome from its resting place.

Hi, new here. This topic is pretty much how I found this site. Inhave managed to convert many .bblx files and .cmtx commentaries. I have been loading the commentaries with no problem using the itunes application on my pc and "adding file" using the file sharing process. The new .cmti file gets added to the e sword hd root folder, and after a close the e sword app on my ipad and then reopen it the new commentary is there!

However I have tried this same process with bible translations. The .bbli files with NO results. I am assuming that those files have to go into that application folder spoken about in previous posts. That folder does not show up in the itunes file sharing list.

If someone can figure this out that would be great. I have lots of converted bi le translations that i would love to use on my ipad, but sadly can not.

You can't hide Strong numbers for modules in e-Sword (as mySword and theWord can).

But words are clickable and linked to the dictionaries modules.

A Hebrew/Greek Strong number dictionary for names(with alternative spellings) is easy to make IF you have time; but many other English words are linked to multiply Strong numbers and it depending on the Bible translation.

The only thing that comes close is a Dictionary search with the King James Concordance(KJC).

Or click on a Greek word and use the GRVi dictionary module from Eliran Wong for Apple/e-Sword HD/LT and e-Sword 11(it works only with lowercase Greek words without accents or diacritics).

Bit frustrated that there's no clear answer on this thread! All you have to do is drag the downloaded bbli module on your Mac to the eSword HD Documents in iTunes (plug your iPad in to your Mac!). Now fire up eSword or reboot it on the iPad and the module will disappear from the documents but will appear in your drop down list of available modules. You can delete it in the normal way. Love Apple the way its supposed to be - SAFE - and don't jailbreak!

Thanks for the reponses! Turns out the bbli files i had must have an issue, not sure what it is yet. However I downloaded one from this site and it loaded right away. Not sure why the other ones wont load. Maybe a bad file. Not sure. At least I know that I can load them now. Thanks again!

How does a person find out what the issue is with a bbli file? I made a bblx file that works fine with the PC version of e-Sword, but when I convert the bblx to a bbli file using the conversion utility and copy it to the shared files for e-Sword HD (or e-Sword LT), when I launch either app, the file disappears and it is not available in either app.

I do use iCloud, but cannot find any way to switch on e-Sword either in iOS iCloud, or in iCloud on the MAC; e-Sword does not appear as an app that can be 'switched on' for iCloud and I can't see any way to add it. I have looked in e-Sword in iOS settings too but again nothing there. Perhaps I am just looking in the wrong place.

I don't use and am unfamiliar with e-Sword for iOS or mac OS. That said, I assume (hopefully correctly) as in e-Sword for Windows, there is an options menu, in where you can select where e-Sword X, HT, LT is to load the resources from.

Unfortunately there are no indications or any specific place where you can Export or keep the files being loaded from. I would love to be able to save the source files for my notes on a cloud location and from there keep everything sync between more than one computer, mobile and ipad.

The problem here is that there are no options on either e_Sword X or e-Sword HD to choose where the files go. Is anyone aware of a way to put in a feature request for this? The fact that there is no ability to keep files in sync between Mac and iOS device via iCloud or some other means is a real detriment to the application. I would love to store notes in and things in this application but for this reason I just cannot. I am aware of the Airdrop feature but that is not a sync tool, that just lets you over write the files on your iOS device with those from your Mac. If I spend time creating or updating notes on my iOS device I would like them to be updated on my Mac and the other way around. Searching through the forums this request has been out there for some time.

I am a newbie to all things IOS. I have an Ipad that I have e-sword installed on. I downloaded the AKJV version of the bible I wish to install. I click on the akjv.bbli and nothing happens except a blank page opens. Any help would be appreciated.

Finally got to the bottom of this. I emailed Rick. The solution he provided is so easy, I am surprised it is not posted anywhere. Regardless, I made a video for others having the same problem here: Install Modules in e-Sword on IPad or IPhone

Infinity Blade was an action role-playing game developed by Chair Entertainment and Epic Games and released through the Apple App Store on December 9, 2010. It was the first iOS video game to run on Unreal Engine 3. In the game, the unnamed player character fights a series of one-on-one battles in a derelict castle to face the immortal God King. When in battle, players swipe the screen to attack and parry, and tap the screen to dodge and block enemy attacks. Upon defeat, the player restarts the game as the character's descendant with the same items and experience level.

The game was developed by a team of twelve people, who took two months to make a playable demo and three more to finish the game. Infinity Blade was intended to demonstrate the new iOS version of the Unreal Engine, and to combine the combat of Karateka and Prince of Persia with the loneliness of Shadow of the Colossus. The game received four free expansions that added new equipment, endings, and game modes.

Infinity Blade was the fastest-grossing app in the history of iOS upon its release. It made US$1.6 million in its first four days, and over US$23 million by the end of 2011. It was well received by gaming critics. Reviews praised the graphics and compared the mobile game favorably to console games. Critics also praised the swipe-based combat system, but split opinions on the cyclical gameplay as either addictive or repetitive. Chair later released an arcade port and two sequels: Infinity Blade II and Infinity Blade III. Author Brandon Sanderson also wrote two novellas set between the games: Infinity Blade: Awakening and Infinity Blade: Redemption.

In addition to combat, there is also a mild role-playing component. An experience point system levels up the player character and their equipment (weapons, armor, shields, helms, and magic rings). Equipment pieces have special properties and a predetermined number of experience points required to master them. Mastering a piece of equipment increases its sale value but decreases the player's experience gain by 20%.[3][5] Upon leveling up or mastering a piece of equipment, players gain attribute points that can be allotted towards four character attributes: health, attack, shield power, or magic. Each point can only be allocated once and is a permanent upgrade to the character. Players can purchase new equipment using in-game money from sacks and treasure chests found throughout the castle, defeated enemies, and sales of unused equipment.[2][3] In-game money can be purchased with real money within the game.[6]
