Missing on a Weekend is an Indian thriller film that was released in 2016. The film revolves around a group of friends who go to Goa for a weekend getaway, but end up in a nightmare when one of them is found dead and the others go missing. The only survivor, Laksh, suffers from memory loss and has to help Inspector Ali Ansari, a CBI officer, to solve the case.
The film stars Karan Hariharan as Laksh, Pavan Malhotra as Inspector Ali Ansari, Jyotii Sethi as Reeha Banerjee, Dishank Arora as Sub Inspector Ajay Kondse, Mahsa Kooshesh as Tanisha Sehgal, Shiva Dagar as Rishab Singh, Akash Bathija as Prince Chawla, Siddhant Mahajan as Himanshu Malik, Khushboo Kamal as Smriti Yadav, and Dibyendu Bhattacharya in a special appearance as Mukhtaar. The film also features special appearances by Maryam Zakaria and Chandni Sharma in item songs.
The film was directed by Abhishek Jawkar, who also wrote the screenplay and edited the film. The film was produced by Rajesh Patange, Sebastian Joseph and Abhishek Jawkar under the banners of The Red Bulb Studios and Adept Films. The music was composed by Nakash Aziz, Om Jha and Superbia.
The film faced some trouble with the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC), which asked for 50 cuts before granting a U/A certificate.
