Need advice on Siesta Key

We live in England and last year we went to florida for the
first time and stayed on Anna Maria island.
We liked Florida so much that we have decided to return
this year and are considering staying on Siesta Key.
We have two teenage children 18 & 16 and felt Anna Maria
island was wonderful but a little too quiet.
Do you think Siesta Key would be better? We d'ont like it
rowdy and noisy but we would possbly like a few shops, bars
or a centre. What is Siesta Village like? Is the
term "village" a rather grand term for two or three shops
or is there really a a small village?
Can anyone recommend any villas or condominiums on Siesta
Key and what are the beaches like?
