Miss Fonda had the right idea but employed the wrong tactics. What she
said was true, we weren't wanted there and had no good reason for being
there. Too many thousands of American boys were killed needlessly
because of assholes like Eisenhower, Kennedy, Johnson, and Nixon.
Posing with enemy troops was wrong and she should have faced some
criminal penalty, but nothing in the neighborhood of what you're
advocating.
