Software Architect
Required: 5+ years software engineering with the last two years in a
Software Architect/Data Architect role. C++, RAD tools such as Delphi
(strongly preferred), PowerBuilder, Visual Basic, or Gupta; UNIX, NT,
Oracle or Informix or Sybase, any OO modeling tool, PC, Sun or RS/6000.
Other qualifications: The candidate's should have spent the last two
years of professional experience performing system architectural level
functions. The candidate should have played a key role in performing,
guiding, evaluating and approving designs of a group of software
engineers. Must have a sound understanding of OO design and analysis.
Must have the ability to communicate design concepts to a team of
software engineers of different skill levels. Must have the ability to
troubleshoot and resolve problems in existing software. Must have a
proven dedication to development and the ability to enforce design,
development and testing standards. Strongly desired: Demonstrated
ability to plan and phase in architectural changes over several product
release cycles. Optional: JAVA, Pascal, SOLARIS, AIX, OO databases,
billing systems industry knowledge. Preferred: Advanced degree.
Scope: Communicate design concepts and support development efforts of a
team of twenty or more software engineers. Assist in the coordination
of development activities, design reviews, design approvals of a
multi-site product development organization. Evaluate products and
technologies for near term use within the development department.
Perform architecture level design, prototyping and proof of concept
