THIS IS A CHALLENGING POSITION.
Job Description:
- Troubleshoot and correct problems with NT network servers. Keeps
users up to date on critical impacts
- Troubleshoot and correct problems with LAN equipment including hubs,
switches, routers, and cabling
- Troubleshoot and correct problems with WAN equipment. Escalate and
manage third party vendor relationships for data circuits and
communications equipment
- CRITICAL - Maintain and administer e-mail server. Ensure policies on
utilization. Troubleshoot Exchange, system crashes, Exchange Boxes,
etc.
- Maintain multiple Exchange Servers
- Maintain 2000 mailboxes
- Intimately familiar with Veritas Backup Exec for NT / 2000 /
Exchange
- Maintain and develop backup schemes
- Cisco VoIP programming is not required, BUT daily configuration,
maintenance and troubleshooting in a Frame Relay network is required
- Work with CSU / DSU, Radius Servers, DDR
- Support backup/recovery procedures for servers and database
- Maintain security system configuration
- Maintain productive working relationships with vendors, clients, and
employees
- Ensure implemented projects are completely documented, fully tested,
and verified for accuracy
- Develop system test plans
- Update senior management regularly with project status and schedule
discrepancies
- Verify implementation of projects; notify users of implementation
- Network Architecture and Design a plus
Requirements:
- MUST HAVE 10+ years of experience
- Windows 2000 / NT 4.0 server
- MUST HAVE extremely strong Microsoft Exchange 2000 / 5.5 server /
Outlook Web Access / Exchange Boxes / Exchange Architecture
- 95, 98 and Windows 2000 Professional
- Must have strong Cisco experience (VoIP programming for routers)
- Thin client
- Internet e-mail (SMTP/POP3)
- Management of multiple remote sites
- Implementation experience (email, OS, etc)
Any certifications are a plus
