Protocol Development Engineer:
* Develop peer to peer MAC layer protocol plus others for high speed wireless
(power line and RF) digital networks.
* Simulate proposed protocol performance using network simulation tools.

* Identify problem areas and develop solutions.
* Implement (generally in software) and test various components of the
protocol in real time under various network conditions.
* Predict network performance and behavior and correlate with actual performance


QUALIFICATIONS:
* MSEE or higher degree.
* Experience or training in protocol performance simulation and analysis,
especially for CSMA and TDMA network protocols. Familiarity with Ethernet
and 802.11 preferred. Familarity with Specification and Description Language
(SDL) is a plus.
* Experience or training in developing low level MAC protocols.
* Experience with C programming language and protocol simulation tools
(i.e. BONeS or OPNET).
* Experience or training in communications theory is desired.

Integrated circuits (ICs) for communications over power line and RF media.
They also offers a family of development tools to help manufacturers move
quickly through their evaluation and design phases. ICs are used for in-
home networking applications that benefit from CEBus and Home Plug and
Play compatibility as well as applications outside of the home that simply
