Hi,
We have an urgent requirement wherein contract support is required for
:-
JOB TITLE : Mainframe Expert
SKILLS REQUIRED : Medium Level experience needed for all of these
skills:
OS/390, JES2, CICS, IMS, DB2, CA/7, TSO, WINDOWS NT, VMS, AIX, SUN
SOLARIS, UNIX, VTAM, NETVIEW
HARDWARE : Mainframes - ES/9000, 9672, familiarity with ESCON and
traditional channel concepts.
PC Hardware. Mid-tier IBM RS6000, SUN, DEC, Alpha.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES : Proactively monitor and troubleshoot
applications and system hardware/software in a complex, environment
with multiple mainframes, systems and distributed platforms. Provide
direct support to customers with application and/or network problems.
Perform tasks associated with problem and change management, including
documentation and management
escalation. Monitor and adjust batch job schedules to meet customer
requirements and business needs.
Develop, maintain and support Disaster Recovery plans, scripts and
vital records so that they are accurate to current production
configurations and executable by the targeted implementers. Travel, as
required, to testing sites and support real or expected disaster
incidents, often requiring short notice travel and extended working
hours.
OTHER : Strong Customer Service orientation needed. Ability to work in
a 24 x 7 environment. Flexibility to work any shift, and to rotate
rest days.
Position requires excellent analytical, verbal and written skills with
a strong quality orientation.
