Well, as everyone knows, a few days ago DL made it official on the Winnie the
Pooh ride. However, Mouseplanet today has a GREAT article about the
attraction. They interviewed one of the imagineers working on it. Most of it
we already knew, but there's some great little tidbits in there. Well worth a
read.

That's great.

Last week, I interviewed WtP Show Writer Kevin Rafferty about the attraction:

It was a very interesting artical that really broke the news on a lot of the
little details. Every once in a while these internet sites come through with
something worth while. I agree with Shane, check out MP for a little taste of
what is coming.

Not sure, though I am not plugging any particular site here. I just think that
an interesting artcile which covers a new topic may be of interest to
others...regardless of hat fan site that may be on.

Can you send me a link for this, I'm having trouble bringing it up. This is
the second time in as many days I've heard about this and I'd like a first hand
look.

Oh, I see. I missed where you posted about the Winnie the Pooh ride article,
photo and interview that was up last week at LaughingPlace.com - my bad.

This may shock you but I was unaware that there was an article about the Pooh
ride up on Laughing Place. I generaly do not read the fan sites and when I
have time there are others I have a tendancy to check first.

I forget, is it Laughing Place that you work with sometimes?

Thanks for the heads up Shane..I sent that link around to some of the people at
work...sounds like a fun ride and the pictures of just the outside make it look
so much more fun than the WDW version.....

Why, yes, yes it is.

Last week, I had an interview with one of the people responsible for the Pooh
ride, and some killer photos of the attraction.

This week, I spill about the changeover of Alien Encounter to Stitch Encounter
that WDI approached Chris Sanders about a couple of weeks ago.

http://www.laughingplace.com

They also have an interview with Cynthia Harriss.

The Stitch deal is a no brainer and it was mentioned on Screamscape a loooooong
time ago as a possible redo of AE....hell while watching the film when Stitch
gets into the air ducts I thought "this would work perfect as an AE-like
attraction"......guess the center tube will have to be raised so you can see
Stitch...he's just a little bit shorter than the alien...

Wow maybe you're not as inside as you thought.....incidently how did the pitch
go...I mean you were there right?

From Screamscape..
(7/30/02) Maybe I’m just crazy and my idea has spread over the past two
months, but over the last week I’ve heard a couple of rumors suggesting that
Alien Encounter may go in for a little rehab to add Stitch to the plot. It
seems merchandise is in love with the idea since Stitch stuff is selling well,
and in addition to dumping the one theater into the Venus gift shop they have
drawn up plans to allow for the other theater to dump into the bigger Star
Traders gift shop.

WOW! I really enjoy this type of article.
It's great to get the scoop on the new rides coming up. I really wish there
was more stuff like this on the net.

The ride looks cool and kudos for the link to such a great site.

That's not the same thing as having a pitch session.

Yea, this may not be up to Tokyo standards but atleast the outside and the
vehicles look like nice additions to Disneyland.

I have also forwarded the link to several other people who I know will love
seeing the photos.

Who knows, with news of the pooh ride breaking and now a description of it
finally up maybe we will start to get lots of new rides... one can hope.

Hey, Ray, thanks for letting me know about screamscape. I had not seen it
before, and after checking it out, it is VERY cool. I understand that it is
pretty much all rumor mill material, but I get a kick out of those types of
sites from time to time. Yeah, he mentioned the AE/Stitch thing, but he also
had a few other ideas regarding Stitch and a lot of other great rumors even I
hadn't heard before. Thanks for the tip!

If you like screamscape you may also like

wdwmagic.com
and
intercot.com

These are also fan sites so you really have to take what they say with a grain
of salt. You know, Disney fan sites are hardly pilars of journalistic ethics
but they can be fun to read from time to time.

I do not get around to reading this type of site very often so I am sure there
are newer ones out there but these are a couple of old standards.

Screamscape.com is another great site.. Lance obviously has his sources but
always presents the info as rumor until offically announced...many times he has
tid bits of info on there long before any press release...now the rumors don't
always pan out but its fun to read about about what might be.......

Sure Shane....its funny how accurate some of his stuff turns out to be (other
stuff not so accurate)...particularly in regards to Forbidden Mt...much of it
meshes with things I was told by altra secret spies...its suppose to be
huge...bigger than TOL or any other structure on property which means it'll be
getting a flashing light stuck up top.......

Michelle;

I do not care to debate or discuss this, this will be my sole post on the
subject and I am posting it only because you really and honestly seem to nout
understand how you present yourself to others.

Yes, you have made some attempts to joke around and stuff and that is
appreciated. However you continue to present yourself in such a way that is
just hard to warm up to. You seem to think that we know or care about
"sources" and the fan site that you write for from time to time. You seem to
think that someone would only post a link here to somehow spite you, not simply
because it is an interesting story that people here would enjoy. If you wrote
something in a similar vein why not simply say that. Instread you act
disgruntled and sarcastic and it is very off putting. The net result is that
people don't bond with you and then you seem to get frustrated about that.

I don't really care about this stuff that much anymore. I don't follow the fan
sites, I don't visit Laughing Zone or Mouse Planet or any of them very often.
It's great that you enjoy that stuff and have worked to gain "sources" and all.
But you must realize that constantly presenting yourself as more knowledgable
or even important than others will turn them off.

I am sure this is not your intention but it IS how many of your posts come
across.

I'm sure this very post will somehoe upset you and provoke you but maybe you
shoudl try and accept in in the manner it is offerd... being honest and helpful
and NOT attacking.

Good luck.
