地球人類が子供を産ま無いことが永遠の命と世界平和であるということを学んだはずの西暦２１９９年に５歳の子供がいるなんて、何て勉強不足な人が書いた脚本だったんだと思いました。
アニメ版では島大介の弟だった島次郎が島大介の息子だなんて、道理でＳＦマニアに呆れられてテレビ地上波初放映の視聴率は、わずか６％だったわけだと思いました。子供の観客動員を狙った演出だったのでしょうけど、これではアメリカの『スター・トレック』と違って子供たちに正しい未来の在り方を教える映画には、ならなかったと思います。
せっかくアニメ版に忠実な超大作の美術セットを組んだ映画だったのに、残念ですね。
