Cyclone--Restricting To A Selected List of Newsgroups

We're running Cyclone to feed a bunch of different news feed customers. We
have a customer who has presented us with a list of newsgroups which he
wants us to feed him. He doesn't want us to feed him any other newsgroups.
The only thing these groups have in common is that he wants them. In
feeds.conf, we could list each group, but being that there is several
thousand, that won't work. There's no way to divide them by hierarchy,
because the selection is quite random. Is there a way that we can use an
outside file to provide his feed? For example, can we say, for this feed,
provide only those groups listed in this file?

You'll want to use the GroupAllowFile directive for this in place of the
Subscription directive. Check out
http://support.bcandid.com/cyclone/index.html for more information and the
specifics for what to do. Just search for GroupAllowFile and you'll find
it.
