There is a free IBM Redbook which is q quite good introduction. You can
get it free at ibm.com.

You may lookfor a LDAPv3.pdf on google it's de best ldap tutorial I ever
read, however, it asumes you know many things on SO admin.

You may read your doc under /usr/share/doc/openldap* for admin commands
also.
