I recently installed WebAccellerator and upon UNINSTALLING it noticed that
my Netscape VISITED LINKS no longer change color. I am using the Netscape
4.5 preview. But this only happened on my NT 4 (sp3) machine. On my Win98
machine, the same setup did not have this effect on Netscape.

I have checked my Netscape Preferences and I have them set to a different
color for VISITED LINKS... but they do not work. The color does change
briefly on the down link on a link but then immediately returns to the
UNVISITED color.

What do I do get back this functionality? Please help.

Close Communicator and delete the file netscape.hst. It'll be rebuilt. Post
back if no improvement.

I have uncovered the solution to the History/Visited Links Color mystery! I
had several old (dead) Netscape directories from past versions on my drive.
It was a different netscape.hst file that was being used, was corrupted and
needed to be deleted. I made sure Netscape was closed and then I found and
deleted ALL copies of the netscape.hst on my drive and VIOLA! my visited
links now change color again!

Be sure to delete ALL copies of the netscape.hst.
