I am so excited to read those replies...as I mentioned, I am a brand freshie
in newsgrupd, I was not for sure if I would possibly get any responses..
but here u are.. =)
here I would like to tell u more about my research, as I am undergoing a 2
years master course in Architectural Studies at Auckalnd University, in
such case, I am doing my first year as the intermediate year to be familiar
with the reserch method, and definitely build up my perspective library for
my thesis, which has not yet started untill next academic year.
what I am currently expanding my knowledge about the reconstruction process
(mainly focus on the city plans and architectures) in realtion to the
earthquake, for instance, the unifying street front in Lisbon (1755) case
and the uniquness of laissez-faire reconstrcution which was happend in San
Francisco (1906), I am goin to study the following cities, Lisbon (1755),
San Francisco (1906), Napier (1935), and Kobe(1995), each of them is
distinctive but at the mean time I also expect the similarity and
significances as the major components that favored the citysacpe in such
location.
I haven't drawn up any conclusions so far and at the stage I would like to
gather much information as broader as possible...altho I know I will have to
narrow it down to my personal in-depth evaluations soon....=Q
however, I probably talk too much...^^...
but I really thanx for ur patience and any reply from u will be deeply
appreciated..
