Outlook attachments

After receiving a email with an attachment I discovered that the paperclip shown at the right top was light grey colloured and not active. Since this mail is very importend for me I wonder if someone knows what the course of this problem could be. Thanks in advance.

I am having the same problem and cannot open attachments in outlook.
What gives ????

Go into OE Tools
Options
click on the Security tab
make sure you unclick "Don't allow attachments that could be a potential viris"  Because OE considers all attachments to contain potential viruses.  Make sure you've got good aniti-virus software though!
