I am trying to use X to create transparent child windows/windows to get
a non-filled window. X will allow me to use pixmapsas a background,
however, I don't want anything drawn. I just want what is under the
new window to show through.

Another question which has been haunting me is how do I tell a window
manager to not put a menu bar around a window. I noticed that most
window managers will slap one on to a main window and subsequent ones
(child windows) are without menu bars. I do know that in Motif you
can disable the menu bar, however, I want to do this in X only.

Thanks in advance

Chris Sparks
