I am using Linux 2.0.30 and have successfully set
up my system to query a XDMCP host at the campus net,
but one thing. I would like to have sound when 'hooked
up' to campus. The sound works fine when running X locally
but when I, for instance running 'sound(thesound)' in
Matlab on the host, Matlab returns the message

'protocol error, my.host.name closed connection'

and I hear no sound. I guess this has something to do with
permissions and security, but what, where and how do I
fix this (if it's possible).

Thanks,
Tomas
