DN3000 refuses all logins - HELP!

I don't believe you have to be on that particular node to run mkdev.
Just specify the entire path instead of /dev; ie
//node_name/sys/node_data/dev from another machine.

If that doesn't work try working from the phase II shell on that node.

If that doesn't work, get to the startup files and start the spm at
startup.
