Doing a 'touch nix' as root in / results in a file that belongs user none,
group none. Same thing with any user doing a touch in /tmp (mmh,
/sys/node_data/tmp, yeah..). Now the confusion gets bigger and bigger. One
machine, a HP400/??? gets the / and /tmp affair right, but allows a file
creation in /sys - and the file belongs user root/group none. Really wierd,
lsacl -l for these dirs shows everywhere different ACLs. Is there somewhere a
correct template for this? I expected that there must be somewhere in /install
something for inprot - but nothing...
Is there a simple way to restore the proper ACL settings? I've got Paul
Szabo's protect scripts, but before I'll use them I would like to have the
original/intended settings....
I have the slight idea that something must go wrong during install, because I
wondered why most files in /etc were world-writable, and their groups were
either bin or staff...
Thanks, Michael
