Japanese legal dramas?

Are there any Japanese television shows, currently or in the past,
that resemble legal dramas? (like 'law & order' or 'the practice' in
the US) what are they called? are they any good?

Yes, there have been a lot of them, usually relating to criminal matters
rather than the civil side.
