Are there any reasonably-priced printing houses that will do bilingual
business cards (Meishi)?

I remember a few years back that if you flew on Japan Airlines, they could
arrange bilingual meishi printed and ready for delivery to your hotel in
Tokyo at minimal cost.

When I search around the internet, all the typesetting and other nonsensical
charges seem to make the whole exercise either very difficult or very
expensive.

Dunno--I've been printing my own for years. If you don't have a suitable
ink-jet or laser printer, you could borrow one and use the special
meishi cardstock (ten per page).

There are plenty of places such as in the Shinbashi Eki Biru that do
this quickly and cheaply. I have found that it is much easier/better to
do it in person rather than take my chances online.

http://www.vistaprint.jp

They have "free" cards but charge a handling fee/shipping which makes it
not such a great deal in the end.

Where are you located and how difficult is your meishi? Does it require
special layout or a logo?
