This might help answer what you were asking Ed about recently.

I was? I hope it's not me that's having the memory problems.

And there was I thinking that the canonical substance was peanut butter.

By the way: "Dogs' lives are shortened if they ejaculate too much."

And all this time I've been chastising my two mutts because they can't sing
and dance...

I was discussing this very matter the other day with a certain fellow
who lives in Kanagawa. We were both of the opinion that it is
impossible to ejaculate either too much or too early. Frankly, if *I*
were a dog I would find the prospect of ejaculating "too much" leading
to my life sentence of eating dog food and drinking from toilet bowls
being shortened a most delightful prospect indeed.

Now why am I not surprised that a woman would say such a thing? Is this one
of those old wife's tails?

I told Brett that he shouldn't go around telling
everyone about that problem.

You missed the most important bit of science encoded in that article. It
seems that not being in heat when you ejaculate is more of a problem.
From that, I conclude that either male dogs go into heat or female dogs
ejaculate.
