Help wanted -- Northern Kawasaki
Untidy Gaijin
projects. The ongoing cleaning is only a few hours per week, but initially
more. Some of the projects could involve several months of work. Some
projects need English skills. Northern Kawasaki, or possibly could help with
a furnished apartment in the area. Prefer to find a person whose interests
already mesh with one or more of the projects, so please include your

Well, how wonderful to contribute so much to your amusement. I must have a
dirty mind if your "humor" is so apparent. Perhaps you should try a
telephone club if you're that desperate? Or there must be some sort of
modeling services available? Or is it just to be dismissed as another feeble
attempt at wit?
Just in case there has been some confusion (deliberately) created, I can
clarify that none of the projects involve any photography. Or perhaps I
should have worded it as a "Woman Friday", since age is not an important
constraint?

No, those of us living in Northern Kawasaki don't have any problem finding
finding oblidging young ladies who also clean up after us untidy gaigin.

possible. Too bad there's a catch. Actually two of them. Maybe three, if you
count my complicated English.
Catch No.1 is that your hobbies would have to match at least one of my
hobbies, preferably in a complementary way. I don't really want someone who
is in it purely for the money, but someone who has a shared interest and who
can help "complete" the job. For that reason, I don't want to say exactly
what the hobbies are, because then someone might just say "Yeah, right, I
like that" for the money. One of the hobbies involves some writing, so if
you're interested in that part I'll give the extra hint that you should say
what kind of things you have written or think you could write about. The
hobbies all involve computers, and most of them involve aspects of life in
Japan.
Catch No.2 is that I want to link it to some housecleaning. Actually, my
handle is an exaggeration, because I'm not really so untidy, but I was sick
for a while, and things got relatively messy, and looking at the situation,
I'd just rather pay someone to take care of most of it. The mess is the
motivation for paying in this case, though the hobby stuff counts, too.
If you're interested you can email for more information, and please don't
forget to say something about your hobbies and interests. This is not any
sort of career-type job, so I don't want to encourage someone to commute an
hour for a couple of hours of work. Better for someone living in northern
Kawasaki. However, if there's a good match, some of the hobbies could

With regards to the public responses, sorry, but no sex or slave labor
involved. In particular, I've never been so desperate as the highly
experienced "another fool". Sure are a lot of people with dirty minds and
foul mouths out there. You'd think their mummies could have done a better
job of raising them.

So hire Duskin or a local granny to do it, if you can't find a suitable
person to do all your work for you. That way, you can concentrate on
searching for someone to do just the hobby stuff.

Hmm... Actually so far I've only gotten as far as interviewing one
candidate, and my basic conclusion is that this venue doesn't even come
close to reaching them. Time to struggle with the very faddish Japanese of
that Two Channel thingee?
And actually the local granny approach was already suggested to me when I
posted an earlier question about the Duskin approach. However, in this area
the cleaning grannies are in short supply, though there are lots of
baby-sitting grannies available. The bigger problem is that they only do
maintenance cleaning starting from a much better state than my place is in
now... Or rather the biggest problem is just that I've gotten too used to it
and don't much care one way or the other.

So contact one of those cleaning firms that specialise in making
apartments habitable after a tenant has left--ask them if they'd just
skip the shovel-out-all-the-junk stage (that might cost more, of
course).

Nice! But with NTV, they would quite happily truck in fresh rubbishb just so
their volunteers could be filmed clearing it all up again.

He could also write into one of those TV shows that sends over a minor
celebrity to help clean up the neighbourhood "gomiyashiki".
