Pteropods, like this Clione, are one of the few kinds
of planktonic invertebrates which do not have
bioluminescent members.

Like our mothers always told us, there's always someone worse off.

I heard recently about a guy in Brazil who went to the hospital with
an earache. When a nurse called out a patient's name, he mistakenly
thought he had been called and followed her. He got off luckier than
the ex-guy in Texas; he came out with a vasectomy.

Lesson: If your hearing is in any way impaired, have someone accompany
you to the hospital.

No, the Lesson is:

Don't let anyone with sharp objects near your wee-wee.

Mikeobjects near your wee-wee.

I'm not sure I want to know what a Mikeobject is, though I think I can
guess.

I have a Mikeobject, and I found the sentence to be redundant.

It's something that might not perform up to expectations if rubbed
carelessly, and that you need to plug in to a socket to deliver
effective results, and of which amplification might be an issue.
