Hi,
we are building a website and need help with the 'engine' behind this site.
First, let me explain what this site does:
Our site gives a personal list of URL's for each individual visitor. This
means that each visitor has a unique ID and that that ID is linked to
specific URL's.
Each unique user ID has it's own personal page with specifically for him
selected URL's.
The logical thing to accomplish this would be to create a new and individual
HTML page for each user ID. However, as you can imagine, this costs a lot of
webspace and we think it is not neccassary.

I think it would be possible to create some sort of a Java script or applet
which would filter out the correct URL's of the main HTLM site for each
individual user.
This would mean that:
1) we only have one main site with _all_ the URL's listed on it
2) each individual URL on our main site has an individual number
3) a visitor's unique ID is linked to a list of numbers
4) a Java script or applet then filters out the URL's the user needs via the
individual URL numbers that are linked with the visitor's ID; and only show
these URL's on the screen.

This way we wouldn't need to store individual pages for each individual
registered user ID but we would simply have one main page and a Java applet
or script would filter out the URL's corresponding with the user ID.

My question is: is my theory correct / doable? If so, does such a
script/applet exist? If not, could someone create it for me? (ofcourse you
would be credited)

Thanks,
