Could anybody tell me which are the advantages of programming in
BASIC,compared wityh other languages
like PASCAL,FORTRAN or C?I am just a novice in the field of COMPUTERS,but I
know that one must use
C in order to exploit at the maximum the resources of the machine,PASCAL,if
what is desired is elegancy
and clarity,not efficiency,LISP if you need a very flexible instrument for
expressing your most creative
thoughts...But what about BASIC?Who is using it?And for what purposes?Is it
still similar to the old BASIC
that made the delightment of our childhood,when it used to run on those
16-to-64kbytes technical miracles,called SPECTRUM and COMMODORE?That's
what I would like to know.Thank you!
