Hello good People,
Please help me :
I need to know how to invert CFM to LFM ( its wind units for fans)
and CFM to m/sec
and if there is another unit for air movement please let me know how to
calculate it.
Thank you

1CFM = 28.31684659 LFM

I don't know how m/sec could be quoted, as the air velocity is a
function of the environment largely. It might be cubic metres / second,
which I have heard quoted for air conditioning systems, in which case 1
cubic m/sec = 1000 Litres/sec or 60,000 LFM or approximately 2,000 CFM.
Hope that helps.

Pardon me for kind of interrupting, but isn't LFM "linear feet
per minute," so converting from it to CFM (cubic feet per minute)
or back would depend on the cross-sectional area of the air
stream? Now, Linear feet per minute can be translated into linear
meters/second, like this:
(fixed font)

lin ft 1 min 12 in 1 m m
x ------ * ------ * ------ * -------- = y -
min 60 sec 1 ft 39.37 in s

and of course CFM, cubic feet per minute, equals LFM * area of
the moving air flow.

Hope this helps!
Rich
