System freezes with IDE hard drive PC Card

15 out of 16 attempts, after Win98 has completely booted up, I insert my
Microtech 2.5" IDE harddrive PC card (Portable Dock). Within 20 seconds my
system freezes and I have to do a hard shut down.

I contacted Sony (VAIO F-280) and Microtech. Sony says its Microtech's
problem and Microtech ignores me.
