Looking to buy a DVD recorder

Hi all,
I'm looking to buy a DVD recorder.
wondering if anyone has any recommendations?
A couple I've looked into are...
JVC DR-HM20EK DVD Recorder with 80GB Hard Drive
Lite-on 5045 Multi Format DVD Recorder with 160GB
Hard Drive
Budget is set to £300 (€400)
Ideally I would like to move all my videos to DVD
and be able to copy existing DVD's I have to one DVD reduce the size of the
collection. Would the hard drive enable this?
Also anybody know how the set up works with having
a cable set up and a satellite set up (Sky and Terrestrial) Does the satellite
channel have to be set on the channel that requires recording or is there a DVD
recorder than can act at a receiver?

Hi Stuart, my name is Adam Knights. If you are looking for a good dvd
rewriter/recorder, I would strongly recommend the LITE ON make.I
bought one this year at my local computer fair and it does burning etc
no problem at all. Also if you're looking for a good burning problem,
I recommend the latest version of Nero. It is the best one out there.
DO NOT USE ROXIO IT IS AWFUL!!!!!!!
