Hi does anyone now if I can use my o;ypus c50 to transfer ppics from my
laptop it apears as a removable drive so i thuogt maybe i could drag and
drop files back to the xd card but i don't want to do this if it would harm
the card!
any help gratefully accepted

It wont harm the card. You can transfer any type of file safely.
