I bought one...my first digital cam and I read in a review that it was
heavy on batteries...Harvey Tossed in a battery charger with
4.....2100 mah NiMh batteries and I raced out and bought 6 more from
jacars at $6 each...they charge in about 70 minutes but dont come to
full charge unless you leave em the usual 12 to 16 hrs....I have no
trouble now and i also find they last a lot longer now that i am not
FIDDLING with it...ZOOM and Edit screen will use more batteries...but
you have to fiddle because thats half the fun....i find the batteries
are lasting longer now after a few charges as well...the Nimh are much
better than the Nicads,,,,don't despair...Just bite the bullet and
spend that bit extra on the Nimh batteries...we bought a 128 mb card
and we are really pleased with it ....Bloody thing just dropped $100
this week hahahahahaha.....Dont put the batteries in the charger the
wrong way !!!!!! and if you buy a card like we did..be aware that the
xd card is not the same as the camedia card that came with it....it
dose'nt have the panorama facility on the card

all the best Phill

The cameras I have used basically get so many hours from a set of batteries
whether you shoot pictures of not.

The technique is a little different from a chemical film camera. Yout turn
the camera on for a few minutes, shoot a bunch of pics and then turn it off
again.
