Hi all. I'm new to Photography and am after some help/advice please. I have
just bought myself a Canon IXUSV3 which I'm very pleased with. I take a lot
of Aviation pictures which usually means me shooting into the sky with the
aircraft backlit. I get a nice jet black silhouette of the plane but no
detail. What settings do I need on my Canon to compensate and get nice
detailed aircraft ?
Thanks

Nick

Experiment - that's the whole advantage of digital cameras! Start with a
fast (1/500 - 1/1500) shutter speed, & probably about 1 - 2 stops lower
aperture than indicated by the meter.

Speaking of aircraft:

These ones aren't very good, but I think they're not bad for casual
shots taken while leaning out my bedroom window. ;)
