I have a Nikon Coolpix 3500 and want to buy another card for it. I wan't to
buy from ebay where it may be difficult to find an approved card. What are
the chances of having difficulties?

TIA

There have been a lot of problems with ebay recently. Not all sellers are
reputable, and even the ones that seem to be often are fraught with sham
bidding. Ebay seems to turn a blind eye to it even when their attention is
called to it. I wouldn't recommend them, as there are many legitimate
sources that are usually as cheap.

Yup. I think I agree. The odd thing about it is that it's only
Americans that are so dishonest. So if you want to buy foriegn
and do the on-line auction thing try the various localized yahoo
auction sites. I have good luck with Yahoo Japan but others
are just as good and maybe more readable for you.

To answer your question about compatibility... I've never heard
of such a thing. I /think/ all memory of the correct type will
work unless the memory is broken.

Hello Henry,
Over the past couple of months I have bought two CF cards from Ebay
with no problems.
I bought Dane-Elec cards from Joshua at KLARZILLA. He gives a good
fast service and I got exactly what I paid for.
The following is from his sellers page on Ebay. I spoke to him by email
first and he will sell a
128 Mb card direct for $26 plus P&P but I got a better price by auction ($19
and $20.50)
His Ebay page address is;
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=43465&item=2946310554

Hope this helps
