The floppy drive in my FD 95 has failed for the second time in 3
years. My 128MB MSAC FD2M floppy disk adapter that was in the camera
appears to have been damaged along with the drive. Is this a common
occurrence? Can this drive be replaced by a technically competent
owner? Does Sony offer any extended warranty coverage on these
cameras? Is a repair manual available anywhere? I estimate that I have
put about 1500-1800 exposures through this particular drive. I have
been using an FD 70 at work for 4 years with no failures or problems.
My work Mavica is treated like a football. My FD 95 is babied. What
gives?

I have a Mavica cd 1000 and it has worked perfectly for two years. We use
standard 3 1/2 inch 156 mb cd's that cost about 20 cents apiece.
