I have a s5000 too. I run XP on my desktop, no problem. Run Windows 2000 on
my laptop, no problem. Runs in all modes, PC camera, and USB mode.

Uninstall the software, and reinstall. I know you know not to hook up the
camera until you have installed the software. I am crazy about the s5000.
My second digital. I broke my Kodak 290, and lucked up and picked this one.

By the way, check all connections and the USB wire..

Luck,

Great.....

Question here, have you purchased an AC adapter yet?
Don't know if I did right or not, but I did a search, and found out that all
the Fuji adapters for the S5000 are from $38 to $57 on websites. However, I
found a place that sells a generic one they say it is a copy of the Fuji AC
5V adapter, and they sell it for $14.99 plus $7.00 for shipping. I ordered
one, should be here in a couple days.

Let me know what you think about this..
