Olympus mju 300 Digital camera

I have just purchased this camera. At the moment the only problem I have is
when I want to use other programs i.e. Picture It, Photosuite and Corel. To
download a photo from the digital camera prompt and select source, all I can
see is my Lexmark P3150, no sign of the camera. I have tried the scanner &
camera wizard in Control Panel but that fails me also. When I get the prompt
to select the manufacturer and select Olympus, the first model is Olympus
D-340/C-840 L Digital Camera. So that's no good to me. I have tried
detecting New Hardware, nothing.

Would I be correct in assuming that I can only use Camedia Master 4.1 with
this camera?

I am running Windows XP Home.

Any help on this would be gratefully received.

Get a memory card reader that will read your type of memory card.

No...i have an Olympus 5050 & it simply uses Xp...i open Camedia only to do
panorama stiching. I have VERY limited computer knowledge but when i plug my
camera in & turn it on i get a window opening that offers "Microsoft Scanner
& Camera Wizard" This is all i have used for about 8 months.
