I am unable to use my digital camera from the usb port without disconnecting
my scanner first. This is causing a major prob. with recognizing the camera
etc. I have a dell comp. and they are not helping me much. Can anyone help
me.

I dont believe i have a powered hub. I have 4 usb ports which are factory
installed in the rear of the computer.

You'll need a powered hub to read your cam, or move some USB devices to the hub to free up a USB post that is straight off the
machine.

I just got a new C-750 Olympus for Christmas and didn't realize that there
were 2 different speeds for a usb port, and had to upgrade to a 2.0 usb
port, the ones on my computer were only 1.1.
At least that is what gateway told us we had to do.
Must have been right because it works fine with downloading the pictures,
and didn't before I up graded it.
