digital camera problem

hello to all,
I had a Toshiba 4.0 camera that just stopped working. I have been told to
send it to the Toshiba company to see if it can be repaired. after talking
with them and not having a warranty, it maybe 2 months or longer.
My question is, the camera uses a SD memory card. I would like to find a
camera that uses the same card.
This was my first digital so, I am still new to the digital scene and I know
nothing about digital cameras.
If anyone can offer some help as to another camera a "good one" that uses
the same card please let me know. It does not have to be expensive

Have you tried reformatting the card while it is in the camera?
