Hi sorry bout the newb questions about point and shoot cameras but
desperately need some help:

Im looking at buying my first digital camera since my mavica for an overseas
trip coming up, I have narowed it down to 4 cameras and 2 brands;

Canon Ixus II (SD100)
Canon Ixus 400
Sony DSCP72
Sony DSCP10

basically I have been told that the Canon are MUCH better quality than the
Sony and at first I was going down this path but the 5 megapixel res on the
Sony's has me interested as does the Unlimited VGA video and the AA
batteries on the DSCP92. I will be using the camera for point and shoot
stuff but still want to be able to take a reasonable picture would the Ixus
II with 3.2 megapixels be sufficent for this, max enlargement I would want
to do is A4?

Could some one who has used these cameras give me an opinion? Particularly
the Sony v Canon argument and wether the Sony's have crap optics like I have
been told?

TIA

Then go for the Canon G5, 5 Mega pix, good camera. Forget movie mode. If you
want movies, buy a movie camera, if you want stills, buy a still cam.

If you want to stick to 3 MegaPix, Canon A70 tops.
