I have been trying to film 8mm cine films with my JVC digital camcorder but
cannot get constant lighting.
I have tried filming the projected image from various screens but on every
occasion the image in the JVC has fluctuating exposure, it goes from light
images to dark images in a regular cycle or phase. I have tried all the
possible settings on the JVC but to no avail.
Does anyone know how I can film a projected image with a camcorder from an
old cine film in order to paste it into my computer.

Do a Google serch on Flicker Filter Virtualdub. That is probably what you
need, the frames per second are different on video cam and 8mm film
wi\hich causes a problem.
