Number of pictures?

I have a Fuji Finepix 3800 camera with 16mb xD picture card for memory.
I've read this only stores about 12 pictures. I'm planning on a trip to
Baltimore and I want to upgrade my memory card. About how many pictures can
be stored on a 128 mb memory card? ...on a 256 mb memory card? I want to
take lots of pictures of Washington DC and Baltimore while keeping them on 1
memory card until I arrive home.

According to Fuji specs: at highest rez (3 MPixel Fine)- 12@(16 Mb);
50@ (64 mB) and 102@(128Mb). The capacity doubles for the 3Megapixel,
Normal compression mode.

Planning a trip?

One 256MB is not enough IMO. 256 is about right for a day-shoot. At least
for me. I would recommend getting three and then selling the extra one
(or two) on ebay when you get back.

I suppose it depends on how do things. Sometimes when I go on a trip
I spend the whole day photographing the place (100 pics easy) and then
just enjoy the nightlife (5 or 10 pics if even that). Other times I just
go and hang out (0 ~ 3 pics per day) and vedge with the environment.

What's in Baltimore? I've never been.

My brother, my 81 year old dad, and I want to see the Red Sox vs. Orioles at
the beautiful ballpark at Camden Yards and rent a car and travel the 40
miles to Washington DC to the sites there ( lots of pix there and in the
ballpark itself. Thanks for your reply, it will help me bring enough
memory.
