When there is a problem transferring pictures from your camera to your
computer (when there was none before), how can you tell if your memory card
is defective or if your camera is defective?

I had Kodak's software on W98 to download from a borrowed camera and then purchased a
Nikon 4300. I couldn't transfer pictures until I uninstalled the Kodak s/w.
